    Description

    Yellow Perch Fillets--11 pound package of frozen butterfly fillets. We've recently updated this product to be vacuum-packed in roughly 1 pound packages. 

    These vary in size but are usually medium sized. Yellow Perch or Lake Perch are a cousin of the larger walleye, but taste very close. Like our other smaller fish we do the dirty work and clean the fish so it is ready for your pan.

    Please note that this is "real" yellow perch (Perca flavescens) from freshwater inland lakes. I have spoken with many customers who have ordered ocean perch or Lake Victoria perch from other sites online that are not the same fish.

    This is my second order of Yellow Lake Perch Fillets and they are every bit as tasty as the first order. Just shake in a bag with flour, salt and pepper and saute in butter for 3 minutes or so a side. Drizzle fresh lemon juice. Nothing better!

    We used to live in Wisconsin and loved to go out for fish fries on Friday night. For the last 5 years we have lived in Florida and really missed our Perch, so we order these Yellow Perch. They are excellent. Takes a couple of days to get but they are still frozen solid, even in the Florida heat. I love the fact they are prepackaged in one pound vacuum bags.

    When my family and I moved to Florida, I was disappointed to find no one sold any Lake Erie Yellow Perch (nor could they get any) in the area. I was happy to find it at Walleye Direct. And although it's a bit pricey, when i receive it, it is always in good shape, with some to little dry ice remaining (this is the way it's supposed to come) and tastes delicious and of home!
