5 pound package of Medium sized skin-on frozen walleye fillets (6-10 oz. each). We've recently updated this product to be vacuum-packed in roughly 1 pound packages. 

With WalleyeDirect.com you can enjoy the taste of wild Canadian Walleye in the comfort of your own home. Your fish will be caught in the pristine lakes of Canada where they are immediately processed and frozen to ensure freshness. Your order is then shipped from our warehouse in Nebraska or Washington anywhere in the US.  

Walleye are regarded as the best tasting freshwater fish in the world. Prized by anglers for its tender flaky meat, we have found the best source and have created Walleye Direct to bring it to other parts of the country. 

The fillets are between 6-10 ounces, perfect size for a dinner plate, so you can plan for 2 people per pound when you order. They are cleaned and inspected at a modern facility in Canada so are free from bones and ready to cook your favorite recipe. If you don’t have a recipe in mind, we have a list of some of our favorites and invite you to add yours as well.  The skin is left on most of our orders so you can identify the fish as walleye (no zander from us) and it holds in the flavor best while cooking.

beautiful walleye fillets.............and now available in the new 1lb. shrink packaging. The fish used to arrive as individually frozen fillets and needed shrink wrapping, etc., before the freezer. Now each pack is about 1 lb. and perfect for 2 people. Product arrives frozen and can go directly to freezer.

The product arrived well packaged. I was really looking forward to the unique delicious walleye flavor. However, the fillets have no flavor at all. It literally could be any white flesh. I am very disappointed. Perhaps walleye is not a fish that does well when frozen?

The The fish came frozen with the skin on and vacuum packs two fillets per pack. I immediately took 3 to 4 pounds of fillets out and thawed them as a Walleye fisherman. I do understand how to bones that are still in the filets from cleaning. This is a must if you plan to have a successful fish fry. I invited 10 of my friends over and cook these fillets. Breaded you know oil and everybody raved how good the fish were. There wasn’t any left after I did notice however when cleaning that there is a dark line on the backside of the filets. Being from Minnesota, not familiar with this dark line I eliminated that as well. Currently living in Arizona and enjoying Walleye with my friends brought back a lot of great memories.
