Favorite smoke fish ever, even when I lived in Duluth, caught and smoked lake trout and salmon .

I smoke a lot of fish. To me this fish lacked enough smoke and brine could have more seasoning., maybe salt ? Lacked the punch I was looking for and not as oily as I desired.Bigger fish are always better, these were ok size.

Have always wanted to try Whitefish. It was wonderful! The smoky flavor reminded me of when my dad would smoke fish. Definitely a repeat purchase

Vacuum seal was broken on two of the packages of fish. Taste seemed to be that the fish was old.

I grew up just 10 miles south of Bearcats' Fish House in NE Wisconsin. This smoked whitefish brings back great tasting memories. Too bad it's in such short supply. Enjoy it while you can!!

Nice size and chunky. Smoked whitefish has been my favorite smoked fish since leaving Minnesota many years ago when I used to catch and smoke lake trout and salmon from Lake Superior.

The smoked whitefish was good but packed as one large hunk and we had to thaw the whole piece to just try it.

I’ve looked for smoked chubs for years since I left Wisconsin. These smoked whitefish are the next best thing! So delicious, I’ll be ordering more as soon as I free up more space in my freezer.

Fish was well trimmed and nicely packaged. Easier to eat than my previous order. I would have preferred a bit heavier smoke as the thicker parts of the fish were lacking that depth of smoky flavor I enjoy. That being said, I would not hesitate to reorder.

This is the best smoked whitefish since we moved away from the Great Lakes over 25 years ago. Very white, flakey and absence of fat. We love it.

Smoked whitefish reminded me of the smoked fish we used to get in Port Washington, Wi. Excellent flavor and texture.

I was very pleasently surprised to see that the smoke whitefish steaks were from Bearcats, a family owned fish house located right on Lake Michigan in Algoma, WI. I have been eating their smoked fish for longer than I'm going to admit. It is always very moist and not overly salty, just like these smoked whitefish steaks. If you're ever in NE Wisconsin, just south of Door County, stop Algoma and say HI.
