      Frozen Sauger Fillets - 11 pounds of wild caught Canadian fillets 2.5 - 4.5 ounces each.

      Sauger are closely related to walleye and very similar in taste. They look very similar but are generally smaller. In both size and taste sauger are "in between" walleye and yellow perch. Sauger are also known as Canadian Pike even though they aren't really a pike and are found well south of the border, but that's the name.

      With shortages of yellow perch continuing, sauger is a great and less expensive alternative.

      I'm really pleased with my sauger purchase! Similar to walleye these fillets are great pan fried. Just shake on some hot sauce and you're good to go. Some people say that sauger tastes like a cross between walleye and yellow perch and I can see that. The fish shipped to my door quickly a few days after ordering and were completely frozen. Would order this again!

      Well the Walleye is always fantastic, but we had never tried Sauger. Oh my!!! It was like a cross between Walleye and Lake Perch. The fillets are larger than Perch, but the flavor is every bit as good. We will be adding this to our list of favorites. I just floured lightly and sauteed in olive oil. Fabulous!!

      I ordered these hoping to get a great product and it was just like I caught day before and froze. The fillets arrived in couple days and were frozen just like they were suppose to be. I was skeptical about buying frozen cause alot are thawed to be mushy but these thawed like yesterdays catch and cooked up excellent. Great product and now life long customer.
