      Description

      Northern Pike fillets of various sizes -- 11 lbs. Wild caught Canadian fillets are individually quick frozen (IQF). Just fish and a slight water only glaze to protet them. 

      Grab whatever size you need for the meal. Northern Pike are a bony fish and we don't get all the bones on these. We have been receiving complaints on bones and I hear you. There are limited options on this product so if you only want boneless this isn't the best product for you. 

      Among the leanest of freshwater fish the Northern Pike is also know as the Jax or Jackfish is a large predator fish and puts up a great fight when fishing. Pike tend to be bony and our team tries to remove them, but there will likely be a few bones on these. The pike's flesh is firm and flaky. It's also known for its excellent keeping qualities and many people pickle and can it.

      These are 100% Canadian caught and Canadian filleted northern pike. They have never left North America.

      I grew up in the midwest and Northern Pike was on the menu at many fine restaurants, and my mother always ordered it. Back then most of the fish was either deep fried or paned fried. I broiled the fish in my oven with butter, lemon and capers and it was fantastic. I sent two packages to my family for Christmas and they loved it.

      Ordered this fish along with the walleye fillets. Fish arrived in Nevada frozen solid. Northerners are not individually wrapped but we’re not stuck together. Deep fried the first batch in beer batter and they turned out great. Biggest surprise was not a single bone yet. Looking forward to about 10 more meals. Would buy again.

      Really surprised when my fish arrived. They were transported by truck across country with more than an adequate amount of dry ice. They were individually frozen solid when they arrived. Did not find a single Y Bone in the 6 fillets we cooked. Taste was great! I have also ordered the walleye fillets and were very happy with them also. I think not many midwesterners know the following, namely that there are quite a few people who think that Canadian northerns are actually as good or maybe slightly better eating than Canadian walleyes!
