the fish was frozen solid when it arrived. We have pickled 3 pounds and it is delicious. We fried some for dinner last night and we loved it.

Recently did a shore lunch fish fry and it made my family and I think we were back in northern Minnesota . Thanks W D I will be ordering again and again , and so will my family.

Good piece of fish and good tasting too!

The fish is perfectly "meaty" so you know you are eating a good piece of fish. It does not seem to take on the flavor of the seasoning as well as I expected, but that may have been my inexperience. I will highly recommend this fish.

I live in Orlando, FL. I grew up in the UP of Michigan. Hard to get good northern fish down here, especially during summer months. I ordered these 5-23-2021. They shipped 5-24-2021. I requested 2 Day air. Took a chance considering our daytime temperatures were approaching the 90's. The fish arrived perfectly frozen and nicely vacuum sealed. No thawing. All I did was put them in the freezer. The packaging methods used probably cost me money on the order, but they worked perfectly. Thanks, WalleyeDirect. I am your customer forever.

They arrived to our hot desert area of henderson nevada still with dry ice left. All filets were nice and large with no “y” bones. I wish the skin was still on though.

Nice job of getting most of the Y bone out. Product arrived frozen and ready for home freezer. Do wish the Northern was offered in smaller packages as 11 pounds is a lot for wife and I to eat.

Perfectly fileted, not a bone to be eaten. Love them smoked on the grill. Even my wife enjoyed these.

Due to the pandemic, we weren't able to go on our annual fishing trip and we were a bit hesitant about ordering online. I can assure you, we won't be hesitant again! Our package arrived sooner than expected and we had our first fish fry a few days later. We were extremely pleased with the taste and quality! Nothing beats a shore lunch but, when that's not an option, this is a great way to help curb the craving!

Never had Northern Pike before. I included this with my order to take advantage of the free shipping. I was a delightful experience. Although I believe this fish is notoriously bony, our first experience was completely free of bones. A real catch worth keeping.

The pike fillets were very fresh, beautifully frozen, almost boneless, and with hardly any fish smell. So far, we have baked them and put them in fish chowder. They have been a wonderful change from our normal pandemic diet.

This former Minnesota boy has been missing the taste of Northerns for years. These taste like I remember from my youth at our cabin "up north", but without all the y-bones my dad always left in the fillets.

I was surprised the pike were full slabs and not cut in half. They came in a blue bag with nothing sealing it. I was expecting the pike to be shrink wrapped like the Perch I ordered. I had to cut them in half and shrink wrap them myself.

Fillets were much longer and bigger then anticipated. Was able to separate frozen fillets from packaging as received and vacuum seal in my own bags for future use. Packaging and dry ice were more then adequate.
