Freshwater Sampler - 4 X 2 lbs

All four fish in this sampler were great. All came separately packaged and labeled. Pike and walleye are outstanding. Perch and bluegill are small filets but plenty of them and tasty.

I am excited to have some of the fish I grew up on in Illinois, Walleye is a Godsend and I will be a customer for life.

Bought two Samplers for birthday gifts. One for my son and one for my daughter. Daughter is familiar is familiar with your product and was very happy. Birthday was two days ago so we haven’t eaten it yet.

By itself, the Northern is fine. Good-sized filets, skin off, good whitefish flavor. No complaints, I would recommend with flour, egg, panko to give texture and flavor with your favorite seasoning. But, sorry Charlie, with this crowd, you fall a bit behind. The tiny Bluegill filets are very good -- good flavor and texture with the skin. The Yellow Perch is even better. Great flavor, hard to beat. May be the best of the group. The Walleye is great. Nice large filets, so you get a real good bite. I recommend flour, egg, and panko because these moist, delicate filets need a little structure, i.e., crunch, to complete the delicious bite. Overall, a great product at a reasonable price. The Perch are very, very good, but I cannot justify the 5 lb. perch package price. This way, I get a little taste of Heaven that I can afford. Thank you.

I had this sampler sent to my parents to provide an experience especially while living under safe-at-home rules. They were very pleased with the prompt delivery and packaging and surprised and impressed with the fillet sizes and number in the package. They have tried the Northern Pike fillets and were extremely pleased with the quality and flavor of the fish. They are looking forward to working through the Walleye, Bluegill and Perch. Excellent product and a really nice way to share an experience.

We chose this to sample a lot of the catch available from Walleye Direct. It did not disappoint. We enjoyed comparing the flavors and textures of each. We have come up with our favorites, and suggest this as a way to come up with your own!

Each of the fishes we ordered were delicious! It was great to be able to try several species of fish that are not easily available in Southern California. Outstanding!

I order the sample mix of fish and was surprised how many mills I can get out of the perch and bluegill. It us just me and I love fish. I have tried the perch and it was excellent.

I was very unhappy when I received my order, because I had ordered the lake perch last July. They had been packaged in 1 lb. packages. They arrived all frozen solid. This order arrived the blue gill and the perch had just been dump in the box no packaging at all.there was no ice left in the box just a little cold water.some of the blue gills and some of the perch were no longer frozen. It was like the two different orders came from two different company.

The fish itself was excellent, however, I was expecting the fish to to vacuumed packed in 2 filet portions to use as needed. The fish all came in a "bag", that I don't even believe was freezer worthy, not individually wrapped. Other than that, the flavor and portions of fish were spot on!! Very delicious 😋

the perch and other small fillets were excellent. Did not try the northern yet. Hope they will not have as many bones as the walleye I ordered.

We have sampled some of each and find all to be very good!

I wanted to see the quality of the other fish, besides the walleye, which I had also ordered. I was not disappointed! The fish quality is fantastic and the packing was perfect. It sure made my choices harder to make since they are all great. I will be purchasing again since you get smaller amounts and a variety.

My order delivered on time and froze solid. The fish taste great. Haven’t tried the pike yet but the rest was delicious! Shared with my son and grandchildren, they loved it as well!
