Product Description
Crappie -- 11 pounds of fillets, skin-on, scaled, individually flash frozen. You should get between 9-16 fillets per pound on average but sizes do vary and sometimes the catch is all little ones.
The white crappie and black crappie (Pomoxis annularis and Poxomis nigromaculatus) is a well known panfish plentiful throughout much of the country. Crappie goes by many names depending on the area of the country: Calico bass, papermouths, strawberry bass, white perch, specks, speckled perch, Sacalait, rock bass and Oswego bass.
Our crappie are wild caught in cold clear northern waters so they have less of the "muddy" taste that is sometimes associated with crappie caught further south.
We have trouble keeping these in stock as not many of our suppliers target crappie, so please add your email to the waitlist to be notified. Sometimes they go very quickly.
