      Description

      Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) skin-on walleye fillets. 11 pounds of 6-8 ounce fillets.  Wild-caught in Canada

      These are flash frozen and you will receive it exactly like it looks in the picture. The advantage with this packaging is that you can easily take one or two fillets out of the box to thaw out for a meal.

      This is the way we used to sell walleye for 12 years and some prefer this method. This means that each fillet is frozen by itself with a light water only glaze on it and stored together in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. Restaurants prefer this way and this is how they are usually sold in the market.

      This is NOT the vacuum-packed option so don't choose this option if that's what you want.

      When thawed the filets look and smell as though fresh from the water. No odor and beautiful colored skin and meat. They arrived hard frozen and there was adequate ice to keep them that way. Breaking a filet loose is easy. Price is very competitive. Walleye is our favorite and we have tried other sources. With the exception of ones we caught ourselves these are the best. We couldn't be more pleased.

      We read some of the one-star reviews and were nervous about the shipping but we were assured by the WD staff that our shipment would be safe. It arrived with more than half of the dry ice still there and 22 lb. of walleye very much frozen stiff. We are so happy.
