IQF Walleye Fillets - Skinless - 11 lbs

The fish is wonderful in flavor and texture. IQF allows me to pull out a filet or two, quickly thaw, and prepare in a variety of manners. Living on the front range of Colorado, we don't typically get a large variety of good fresh fish, so the walleye is somewhat of a treat. It is just the two of us and I had concern that I may not use 11# of fish before it got "freezer icky" ... problem solved - my neighbor and her husband split the shipment with me so we can both enjoy without worry of waste.

First time buying walleye fillets from Walleye Direct. My previous walleye purchases were from Red Lake Nation. Most of the 20 fish fans at my annual 4th of July fish fry thought Red Lake walleye tasted better than Walleye Direct. I believe that is due to a difference in fish cleaning. Walleye Direct fillets had more dark skin remaining on the fillets. If I purchase again from Walleye DIrect, I will allocate time to clean the fillets more thoroughly myself (which should be done by Walleye Direct in the first place). Beyond that, the fillets were very good quality, promptly shipped and arrived still frozen to rural KS address.

Excellent Quality and delivery

The IQF Walleye Skinless Fillets arrived perfectly frozen solid by overnight shipping. The packing was secure and probably would have held the freeze for two-day shipping. I broiled some the next day and served with a brown butter almandine sauce. Perfectly delicious, like just caught.

Fish was good but actually wanted the vacuum packed fillets. The web site can be confusing as to what a person is ordering?

Fish arrived as promised. I always like to have some in the freezer.

Hosted a fish fry for 13 guys at our annual fishing get-together. Walleye was a huge hit; they made me commit to doing it again next year.

i fished lake Erie for years, relocated to Cape Coral Fl, unable to find walleye in Florida, i will be a life long member of walleye direct, nice service, still frozen, nice package, well worth the money thank you.

Beautiful fillets, delicate flavor, fresh-tasting, just like fresh-caught I used to catch in Northern Minnesota. Received in pristine condition.

Outstanding flavor.

2nd Order from Walleye Direct. Our first order (over a year ago) was delayed in-transit and ruined By The Carrier. Even though this was not Walleye Direct's problem, they replaced the first order with no issues. Customer Service at its best! Our second order arrived on time with no problem. Our "weekend fish fry" was fantastic. Zippering the Large fillets and the use of Zatarains New Orleans Style Breading, provided a Walleye meal as good as any experienced when traveling to the Catawba Island, Lake Erie area on family visits. Local Walleye is not an option in Northern CA.

Fish taste like fresh caught, arrived on time and still frozen, great product and service and will order again.

After paying $21.18 for Culver’s three piece walleye dinner (deep-fried) with heavy breading, decided I could do it better so ordered the IQF fillets from Walleye Direct. Ordered on the weekend, arrived the following Thursday still frozen hard, Will now enjoy my weekly walleye dinner the way I like to fix it, and the IQF fillets are very nicely done.

The walleye is fantastic! Maybe a bit pricey but still fabulous!

The individually wrapped walleye were very fresh. I made a mistake and also ordered the unwrapped frozen pieces. They were not good at all. Definitely recommend the individually wrapped.

Overall, it was a good order. There was a glitch in shipping and delivery was delayed. I called to make sure the order was going to be put in freezer as it was perishable.......I was told it was going to be put in freezer until new delivery date. When I received it, it was clear that it had thawed some at some point as it kinda one big clump of fish. It took a lil bit but I was able to break apart and make smaller portions out of the box.

Good stuff. Arrived a day late but still frozen solid.
