Lake Perch Fillet -- 5 pound package of frozen butterfly fillets --  roughly 1 pound vacuum packs. These are skin on and filleted, so no bones minus a few that slip through.

These vary in size but are usually on the smaller side when they taste the best. Yellow Perch or Lake Perch are a cousin of the larger walleye, but taste very close. Like our other smaller fish we do the dirty work and clean the fish so it is ready for your pan.

Please note that this is "real" lake perch (Perca flavescens) from freshwater inland lakes. I have spoken with many customers who have ordered ocean perch or Lake Victoria perch from other sites online that are not the same fish.

My husband and I were both born in the Midwest and enjoyed Perch, Crappie, Pike, Blue Gill, Sunfish which are all probably the same but it seems every place we lived used a different name some we could tell the difference like Perch, Crappie and Pike but all we know is that living in California we missed our Friday night fish dinners at the local pub! My perch arrived a day late due to weather, yet it was in excellent condition. I did flower and egg wash with some homemade bread crumbs. Fried for about 45 seconds. Outstanding!!!! Couldn’t be any better! Each piece is individually frozen so you can thaw out how much you want. They are very fresh and tastes great. You can’t find perch in Florida but these are the next best thing. Perfect!

We tried the lake perch and found them to be delicious, just a light coat of fish fry mix and wanted more but didn't want to eat them all in the first setting. The fish were still very frozen when arriving and like they are individually frozen for easier thawing and keeping in freezer.
