Lake Perch Fillet -- 5 pound package of frozen butterfly fillets --  roughly 1 pound vacuum packs. These are skin on and filleted, so no bones minus a few that slip through.

These vary in size but are usually on the smaller side when they taste the best. Yellow Perch or Lake Perch are a cousin of the larger walleye, but taste very close. Like our other smaller fish we do the dirty work and clean the fish so it is ready for your pan.

Please note that this is "real" lake perch (Perca flavescens) from freshwater inland lakes. I have spoken with many customers who have ordered ocean perch or Lake Victoria perch from other sites online that are not the same fish.

The packaging and shipping are remarkably well done. The yellow perch fillets are properly frozen, and very tasty. We enjoy them breaded and pan fried. Crispy on the outside but moist and delicious on the inside. Will order the perch and the walleye again.

I have ordered these 4 times this last shipment was much better than previous ones. The fillets are larger. They were not individually frozen this time. They were together in a sealed bag. So, you have to defrost the whole package. I cooked the whole package. They were wonderful the second day for lunch. Just warmed them up . Nice larger size very mild and sweet fillets . I ordered 2nd day to Nevada and they were still frozen solid when they arrived.

I dust them with seasoned flour and fry in a pan with lots of butter. It brings back memories of me and my family fishing the weekend away at a cottage they rented on Fox Lake back in the late 50s early 60s! Good memories! I got to share this batch with some of the in-laws over Father's Day weekend and they really enjoyed them. Looks like they'll be new customers!
