Lake Trout Fillets - 5 lbs

I ordered Lake trout fillets and they arrived in Boston MA completely frozen, nicely packed and on time! Love the taste and NO bones! I will go "fishing" again soon!

Back for another order of Lake Trout. This is a fatty, flavor filled fish full of Omega 3. It has a strong flavor which we love, but if you like your fish to be light and flaky and have little taste, this may not be for you. If you like Salmon (a distant cousin I think) which has a distinct taste, give it a try. We love the flavor and the texture and the health benefits. We normally cook it just by seasoning then searing on both sides - maybe 4 minutes per side - in a hot cast iron pan. It is yummy!

The trout was packaged for easy storage. I breaded the trout with a pecan coating and it was met with raves and second helpings. With summer coming up I am thinking about using some in a trout boil in our tripod kettle outside. These fillets are versatile for a variety of recipes.

You simply cannot find a better quality lake trout than these. They arrive frozen in dry ice, and each fillet is individually wrapped in a vacuum sealed package. In previous orders, each fillet was large (approx. 12-16oz), but the last delivery contained smaller cuts (approx. 8oz each), which is even more convenient. I like to bake them, and they are always so white, lean, flakey, and fresh. Awesome fish!

I purchased the trout for my fathers birthday and some salmon for my mother. He immediately opened the package and started to defrost the well ice packed trout. He informed me that the trout were fresh and tasty. It was so good he wishes he would have waited to put the remainder in the refrigerator. My mom will follow on Saturday with the Salmon. Thank you for the prompt service and for delivering the package near his birthday! My mother said he can't wait for next year to come around so I can resubmit the order. Arrived in great shape, frozen with dry ice still in the box. We have smoked 2 of the fillets so far and they have been excellent, great flavor. Will be buying again from them in the future.

A tremendous positive surprise and delight - we are not trout fans but had never eaten lake trout so we were skeptical and apprehensive of having to order 11 lbs of fillets - we removed the skins and crispy fried the fillets and now we are lake trout lovers.

Fresh frozen when delivered

Beautiful large fillets, all well sealed, and not harmed by freezing. Excellent texture and flavor both ways I've pan fried them so far.
